About

Gonzalo Xavier is the Global Head of Benefits, Mobility & Recognition in Galderma since April 2023, based in the new Global Capability Centre established by the Swiss company in Barcelona that year.

Galderma is a Swiss pharmaceutical company specializing in dermatological treatments and skin care products, created in 1981 as a joint-venture of Nestlé and L’Oreal, that became publicly listed in Zürich in March 2024. It employs ca. 7K employees in 44 countries across all geographies, including six research & development and four operations & production sites.

Gonzalo Xavier started his career as employment lawyer and then evolved to become a Global Rewards professional, working in different change projects such as restructuring, M&A & HR transformations, in the banking and shipping & logistics industries, before moving into life sciences / pharma, with both EMEA and Global scope, including experience with payroll and people operations.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Degree in History, as well as a Master’s Degree in HR Management, and is a registered practicing member of the Barcelona Bar Association. He is also an avid fantasy and sci-fi reader and Dad to a toddler girl.
